Stitching, Kneading, and Gathering....

Morning yall!

Hadn't touched my bible study since our Tuesday night meeting. This morning, I awakened at 4:44 and jumped into it headfirst. lol Kinda weird huh? Four days after, at 4:44, I'm studying Eve, and then Lydia-- finishing it all. It was so good I didn't want to stop once I started. lol
Thankfully we have 10 more days til our next meeting. Days to soak it all in; re-read, study, and ponder. I tell ya; as I studied Eve; it felt like a course in marriage enrichment! And Lydia?... well; she's my purple sisterchick- I love her!

What does a sewing machine have to do with all that? Nothin! lol
Nothing other than it explains what I've been doing for the last two days.
In the works are 3 raggedy annies, 1 snow angel, 2 folk angels, a cat and a pumpkin. :D
All the body parts are stitched, and most of them turned. ........It's time to stuff!

Yesterday, was my day at the nursing home.
Honestly, it was a rough visit. My dearest friend there; was having a very.... very bad day. (Please remember her in your prayers.)

Afterwards; I stopped at the antique shoppe. I've looked for a little chalkboard for our kitchen; and yesterday found an antique slate. As you can see; tonight we're having tater tot casserole!

Oh.... and hot rolls! I think I'll not only make a few hot rolls for tonight's supper and Sunday's stew, but maybe another pan of cinnamon rolls too. (Good thing Myguy mowed my walkin trail last night... ya know why rolls are called ahem..."rolls" don't you?) !!!!!!!

I wasn't able to share a Thankful Thursday post here this week because I'm having to take turns sharing our internet with our shop since our router went caput. So quickly, I'm adding a couple random blessings:
I'm thankful

for God's grace... a word I seem to learn a little more about every single day.
I'm also thankful for His "PROVIDENCE." (DIVINE guidance, or care.) -- something I'm seeing with a wider opened eyes as well as heart. I'm seeing Him show me over and over that He's here.... He cares..... and is in control. (Isn't that right Char?!!!) ;)

If there's any time left at thee end of the day today, I hope to go gathering.
The newest Mary Jane's Farm magazine has an article on page 68 about searching for wild things, and making wreaths, and home decor using naturals you find out of doors. Bird nests, pine cones, seed pods, nuts, and twigs.

On my walk last night, I saw wildflowers that are drying in the pasture, mosses in the woods and some muscadine vine crawling up a tree. I may have to load my new apple basket, pruning shears and a 5 gallon bucket on the four wheeler to carry it all home. Especially for all the muscadine vine. Camera will be around my neck! -- Dontchya love naturals, botanicals and wild things? Deena if you're reading this, I want you to know I still have the two seed pods you sent me up on my mantle!

Happy gathering,
and have a wonderful weekend!
Holykisses xoxo
Lea

Well, the sewing machine COULD fit the Bible Study. Lydia, I believe, was a seller of purple fabric....
I'll have to look at M.J.'s Magazine the next time I'm at Borders. I enjoy seeing decorations made of natural materials!

Sounds like you are a nature lover. Stay healthy, and walk as often as you can. At this point in my life, I rely on what I can see from a distance. There is a lesson in that statement, don't you think? Often we rely on what we remember of our God of yesterday, instead of seeing Him afresh each day. Good post, keep up the good work. I'll be back.
