Big Weekend!

So today's Friday and we're looking at a three day weekend!
Do any of you have plans to maybe sit in a rocker and grab a catnap like Merry Pearl here?
We haven't decided what we're going to do yet.... but sure are lookin forward to a couple relaxing days. Maybe a drive up into the mountains; there's some places we'd love to go explore!

A cold front moved in last night, so the morning temps were positively perfect! I enjoyed doing chores so much today, and you can tell the animals really love the cooler weather as well. -- I have bad news though: Something got our big white puddleduck yesterday. Mike and I searched everywhere. We rode fourwheelers all over trying to find him but there was not a pile of feathers to be found. Whatever got him carried him off. It's pretty sad. The last two puddleducks are pretty frazzled and seem to be trying to stay on the pond; -- it's safer there.

Hope yall have a wonderful and safe weekend!
Til we meet again!

I was sad to read this about your paddle duck.

Yes, a 3 day weekend. My hubby has been working extremely long hours and is in need of a break. However, I'm ready to go, go, go...so we will have to find a happy medium. ; ) It is actually our 18th anniversary this weekend! We planned on going to Savannah, but I learned there's a beer festival of sorts going on, so the trip is off. Sigh.

I have missed blogging; I feel so behind...you mentioned bones and stitches below?! Praying all is ok, but you did say you rode a 4 wheeler, so can't be too bad, right?!

I hope you enjoy your weekend. I'd love a trip to the mtns. If you go, take pictures! OH...loved the cover of your prayer journal. You should make those and sell them on your itsy...I'll be the first in line.

Oh how I'd love to spend the long weekend like fluffy little Merry Pearl but I'm thinkin' our plans include tractors and plows. Oh life on the Ponderosa where Labor Day just means one thing, labor. Heeehehehe! Gotta love it.

God bless ya and have a wonderful Labor Day.

Lea,

I'm sorry as well about the loss of your puddleduck. My man and I are up in the mountains and have ventured out into the unknown, it has been so fun, and we've laughed a ton. So good for the soul and the marriage. I'd have to move Merrypearl and sit in that chair, sweet Sister.

XOXOXO
Yolanda

Sorry about your puddleduck..... That would have broken my heart....

sorry girl I have not been around.. This has been a very very dark summer.. I do not know how I would have gotten through without the grace of the Father God.....

We had to put Psychiatric hospital this past Thursday and it about broke me down..... BUT God was the author of all the decisions and so I expect her to get better......

I hope to be around more often now..

enjoy your weekend.....
