Busy Bee, Blessings

Greetings and Holykisses,

It's been an adventurous week to say the very least!

First, it's been a great week in the Word. Finished Leviticus this morning and had a couple revelations. I'm anxious to move forward in them. And also thankful for GRACE!
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Thought I'd share a few pictures of a few more random blessings from my week.
Been digging red Pontiac potatoes for the past two afternoons. Myguy is a meat n taters man so he'll be so happy to have a pile of these fried up on his plate! Thanks God!!!
The rose of sharon have started blooming and we also had a couple afternoon showers as well!
The garden smells so good after rain.

Another special blessing was a visit by a relative. I got to see the Uncle I'm named after, and meet his girlfriend.
It was wonderful seeing him again ...and meeting her!

I'm thankful that even though the weather is really heating up; our cows have a place to cool off now. I'm surprised sometimes how deep they'll venture in! It must feel so good on a humid day, and it's the best fly repellent too!
This evening on my walk; I found that Gertrude had just had a baby! I don't know if it's a heifer or bull yet, but it had already been up and found the milk supply.
This little group of blessings was a total surprise. My friend Maxi stopped in yesterday and we were actually heading out to the pasture to check on the cow but we never made it that far. In the middle of our big chicken coop was one lone baby chick. ????????????? I'd been gathering eggs, so I knew no egg had been in there for 21 days; the time it takes to hatch an egg. And no mother was even tending to the chicklet?

So we went into the pen part of the coop and took down a board that had an old pie shaped dog shelter on the end and low and behold this little hen was all the way to the back of it with babies under her. If you picture a triangle, about 6 feet deep the size a rottweiler could have walked into... well; the hen was at the point end of that triangle. We started out just bringing them chick starter (grain) and water, but we knew a possum would find them in the night. The chirping was a dead give away. Soooooo, I told Maxi I was "going in." I mustered up my courage, and got a flashlite and she stayed at my feet while I scooted on my belly on the ground into that little pie shaped area, rebuking brown recluses, black widows and everything else my mind was conjuring up. The scariest thing I encountered was a face to face encounter with one little irrate hen.

I must say, you know you have a true friend when she'll accept a hand off of a ticked off banty hen when you're trying to catch her 8 babies!!!! Not just anyone would do that! Maxi took the hen from me and then I caught the babies and put them all in the front of my shirt like an apron and then tried to scooch back out without smooshing them. Happily and thankfully all 8 have survived and are now living with their over protective Mother in a safe pen in our barn. I'm thankful!!! --- Mostly to have such a friend,.... but also for this new family!!! (Thanks God for Maxi!!!)
My last random blessing is the Jobs Tears are making " delightful seed- beads!" I hope to not only have enough seed for next years plants, but also to have enough to make some jewelry as well. Time will tell! They're such an interesting plant!

It's late, and time to hit the hay.
I'm thankful for my dear Hubs, dear sons,.... all of you and hope you have a wonderful day.
Don't forget to count your blessings today!
Holykisses xoxo Lea

Oh my Lea, only you.. You are such a caring person. I am the same when the time calls for it, mainly an animal in need like that. It takes a lot of gall to munster up the courage to crawl into a space like that. Good thing it wasn't just a leaky pipe or something huh?
