Bible Studies

Greetings and holykisses,

I ask your advice today.
I've been searching for my next bible study to begin. I'm tossing around the Ruth study- Kelly Minter, Loving God with All Your Mind- Elizabeth George, and Believing God- Beth Moore. If you've done any of these, I'd love to hear from you. I've looked up so many books/studies and have yet to make any real decision.
Hope your having a great day,
holykisses xoxo

Story of Ruth!!!!!!!! The kinsman-redeemer....... Boaz.... The love! It is probably the most profound story in the bible...... I have not read it but after you listing it here I am going to go and buy!!!!!!!!! I will study with you if you choose this one!

My Bible study group will be doing the study of David this fall. We are on a summer break. We just studied the names of God by Kay Arthur. It was an older book but was very helpful in uderstanding the character of God which increases your faith and hope.

I'm doing Purpost Driven Life by Rick Warren along with my family. There are 40 devotional days and it has opened up a whole new way of thinkind about life here on earth and my purpose for being here and I'm only on Day 7.
Blessings, AE

Though it's not one you've listed, I can't recommend Breaking Free (Beth Moore) more highly. It's been the most impacting study I've EVER done.

I was lost for study last Wed...tried to see if the weather would make it null and void....alas..so duly reproved I said....'help Lord"
And I ended up with Prisoners of Hope
and have printed out all the hope references which we are working our way through.

Have you ever studied a Beth Moore book? Our Bible Study did the Beth Moore "Believing God" Book. It is very in depth but you would probably like it.

I have, also, studied the Kay Arthur book that Dee mentioned. It is good.

I think I would like the Story of Ruth.

Whatever you choose I am sure you will enjoy and learn from it.

Aloha my sister!
Hmmm all three are good choices. My vote is for (dunnnn dun dun dah!!!) RUTH!!!! Your a Ruth girl my dear Lea. You began a life without God, you risked by putting your faith in God. God saved you, He rebuilt your life in his foundations, and BLESSED YOU. From Gods Blessing for Naomi & Ruth (and their faithfullness), he used them to bring family and friends to God. Much liek you dear heart;-)

There is a lot we woman can learn from Ruth. Can ya tell I vote for RUTH YIPEEEE
Aloha :-)

Hi Lea,
I enjoy all of the mentioned writers, but my favorite is anything that Elizabeth George has written. Praying for God's direction for you.

My choice for you would be the Ruth study with Beth Moore via her blog. I have done her studies the last 2 summers with my womens group and it has been wonderful! I think you would really enjoy it and like Paula said...You are a Ruth girl Lea! :) I just finished up Beth Moores Esther and it by far has been the best study that I have done...next to Believing God! If you ever get a chance to do one of those two....YOU MUST!!! L-i-f-e Changing!

Love ya girl and I know God will lead YOU to the most PERFECT study...one that is relevant and timely for you! Praying His HUGE blessings over you this summer!
