Happy Mother's Day Part 1

Good morning everyone and happy Mothers day!
This is just a quick note to start the day, and first pay tribute to my angel Mother. Our boys are coming over later today, and I have more I want to share in part 2.

My Momma....... was so much more than a mother to me; --she was my friend... and even my next door neighbor. Her house sits 5 acres from ours and a path was worn between them.
We did life together .... and even went to the same church. The photo above is one of my favorites. She was healthy, happy and in God's house.

The video I shared yesterday of the kids talking about needing their Mom's to point them to Christ, puts a lump in my throat. Because the closer my Momma got to leaving for heaven; the more and more she pointed me to Christ. Her relationship with Jesus grew so much... and she unashamedly lived for Him until stepping into His kingdom. --Those last days; I started feeling her detaching from me.... but clinging to HIM. (Thanks Mom.)

Thanks for teaching me WHO to cling to.
Thanks for teaching me to draw nearer to Him.
Thanks for teaching me to praise Him no matter what my circumstances are.
Thanks for teaching me that life is a gift and to always choose LIFE.
Thanks for teaching me to worship Him with all my heart...charm bracelet tinkling and hands raised high.

All that I am or ever hope to be... I owe to my Angel Mother. ~Abraham Lincoln.

If Roses grow in heaven
Lord please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my Mother's arms
And tell her they're from me
Tell her I love her and miss her
And when she turns to smile
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for awhile
Because remembering her is easy
I do it everyday
But there's an ache within my heart
Because I'm missing her today
(author unknown)

Happy Mother's day.
Holykisses xoxo

Lea, that is a beautiful tribute to your Angel Mother.

The last few years of my mother's life she did not know who I was. She had so many strokes and the last one at the age of 89 took her. I sat by her bed (her eyes were closed and the only words she had spoken were "I hurt") and I told her that it was okay for her to go. She had run her race and finished her course (just as Paul did) and she was in the arms of Jesus. I saw a tear come out of one eye so I know she heard me.

Hope you've had a beautiful day with your boys. I got to go to church with both my girls today and hear my grandson play his quitar in the worship band. It was beautiful.
Blessings, AE

What a wonderful photo...I see kindness in your mama, just as there is in her daughter. How neat that you had a foot path between your homes! I pray you had a wonderful Mother's day despite missing your own sweet mama.

Sweet Sweet Friend,

Your mama was so beautiful. I can see where your beauty comes from both outside and in. Your heart for your mama is beautifully tender and loving...oh how I have missed my mama especially in the past couple of days as yesterday would have been her birthday.

I hope your day was filled with much love and happiness.

Love you so much my friend,
