This Is The Day

"This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24

Good morning!

I woke up in a bit of a panic this morning.
Yesterday a friend called me and said she wants to come to our church today! We'd talked about it before and I'm so excited about her coming. But I dreamed that we overslept, and when we woke up it was already after 11 and church had already started! Not only did sheer panic set in, but I felt horrible because here I'd invited her and told her I'd be watching and then I wasn't even there. Thankfully, when I woke up for real this morning, and looked at the clock it was only 7 am. :) What a dumb dream!!!!!!!!!

This is the day which the LORD hath made; I'm rejoicing and glad! I'm so happy today's the Sabbath, and happy I didn't really let my friend down as I did in my dream. lol Another JOY that I'm happy about is: While standing at the kitchen sink this morning, and glancing out the window; I saw my very first hummingbird of Spring perched on the fence near the feeder! Time to mix up more hummingbird juice. I'll be doing this the old fashioned way: 4 cups water, 1 cup sugar. (Thankyou Denise for reminding me that many of the prepared nectars have food coloring in them which are supposed to be harmful; I'd truly forgotten!)

It's time to get ready for church. Quickly; I want to share two verses that are in my journal this morning. One was brought to my heart from my new friend Kelley. (Isn't it cool when God uses people in our lives to help us on our journey?) The verse is Proverbs 16:24 "Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."

The second, came from opening my devotional this morning.
"Do everything without complaining or arguing, " Philippians 2:14
Can you just imagine having a victory over these simple yet powerful areas of life?
Speak sweetly, and quit complaining and arguing.

Time to iron a shirt for Myguy!
Complain? Nooooo way.

Good Morning sweet Lea!
I am rejoicing with you this Sabbath morning! *Ü*
And you blessed me this morning with Philippians 2:14 and actually I was convicted about complaining...

How exciting about the hummingbird...
We usually have them just about now but we have some mockingbirds that are just scaring away everything =(
I haven't seen my Gentleman Caller {a blue jay that always comes for the dog food}; I thought Blue Jays were kinda obnoxious but they have nothing on mockingbirds.

Glad that your dream was just a dream...
I've woken up thinking they were real & was so glad when they weren't.

Wishing you a blessed & beautiful Lord's Day!

Love you sweet Lea! I love Psalm 118:24 as I have it in my sidebar. It is one that I certainly try to live by despite the many stresses in life.

I'm so happy that it was only a dream that you experienced. LOL

Have a wonderfully blessed day my friend. You deserve a peaceful day of rest with the Lord as you have been working so hard in your gardens...but then again you meet the Lord there and everywhere you go too, that I do know!:)

Big Hugs,
Alleluiabelle

Both these verses should be hung next to my computer (I think I may do that) and in my heart, if only I live THAT way every minute of every day! Love & blessings to you lovely Lea

I'm so glad you were only dreaming. I pray your friend enjoyed your church.

I've told my husband it was time to put out the hummingbird feeder.

Have a blessed day, AE

Morning Sistah! Wow what a way to wake up! So happy that your friend was a coming to your church and I know the Lord had a good word for her. His word does not come back empty! We had a beautiful baptism service yesterday. 47 people baptised! I always get excited for what God has in store for these dear new brothers and sisters in christ!

O.K Lea, better go get my prayer on!
