Simply Blessed

Greetings and holykisses,

I hadn't participated in Thankful Thursday in awhile and I've realized how much I miss setting time aside at least once a week to jot down a few random blessings.

Random Blessings...
This past week, a friend gave me a few old boards! I'd been looking around for barnwood, and this friend gifted me- what a blessing! -- so I got to play with paint!
I'm grateful!- it was so much fun.

With warmer days, I've been enjoying lots of time in the garden.
It's funny that work in the garden doesn't even seem all that much like work to me.

One day while I was weeding, I heard my son's Jeep coming up the drive. He found me out back, and was carrying a very special gift. My favorite flavor snowcone: strawberry cheesecake. He'd driven it all the way over... just for me. It meant so much to me and his thoughtfulness blessed this Momma so much. Thank you Lord for this child.

Another day, my phone rang and it was our other son. He works out of town and called just to "talk." I love these times with our boys and am so blessed that I get to be their Mom. I sure miss the one who works out of town, but I'm thankful for ways to stay connected. I love our chats on the phone and texting! Thankyou Lord for incredible son-blessings in my life. I just love being T&T's Momma!

I'm also grateful to be married to a man I adore.
Thank you Lord for my true love. I joy to be his wife.

This past week, I've met a couple new friends that have blessed my life so much already!
I'm rich in friends. Old friends, new friends... and look forward to the ones I haven't even met yet. Thank you Lord for crossing our paths. ~Speaking of new friendships: Remember "Gardener woman?" I talked to her on the phone and we just have thee best time together! I'm so thankful for friendships! ~and I "toadily" love how Gardener woman loves our Lord.

I'm thankful for this old clothesline. Pinning laundry on the clothesline is one of my favorite things to do! I stripped the bed this morning and as soon as the washer's finished with them, they'll get hung on the line as well. There's nothing like crisp, Sonshine dried bedsheets! - Oh, and while standing at the line this morning... I glanced out across the pasture and had another blessed surprise.................
Popcorn had her baby! She's almost identical to the last calf we had born.
And she's a girl too!
Thank you LORD... for blessing us with this pretty baby!
Popcorn is a wonderful Mother and I had to laugh at her. When Spirit realized there was "someone" new to meet, Popcorn put her head down to warn him off. "I said,... I said, git away from here DONKEY!"
I'm also grateful for this character. This puddleduck kept doing something funny with her leg while she stood on the rock today. She looked like she was rowin her boat. "Row row row yer boat... gently down the streeeeeam,.... merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily... life is but a dreeeeam."

I'm also thankful that the lilac bush I pruned back, has found new LIFE!
Don't have to dig too deep to find a spiritual lesson in this one.
And I'm even grateful that we have lots of dandylions. I'm sure some of you are gasping.
Don't choke... it's alright.
Mrs. Potter loves them so; ....
I must admit; I enjoy bringing them to her.
Today, is the first bloom of our Azalea bush.
I'm grateful! It makes me happy!! Especially for the color: "lipstick pink."
Simple pleasures,
Simple joys... of life.

God created everything.
Every good and perfect gift comes from above, and ...
We can do nothing apart from Him.

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

OHHHH my Lea girl, what fun I always have coming to the shed!!! You have so much to be thankful for! A new baby (cow), dandy flowers for your bunny, a wonderful family, a wonderful saviour! Now about that Laundry, I can just see you out there, whistling away, with a little giggle, just a thinking about how good it is going to smell and feel getting into bed with those line dried sheets! I agree with you, there is nothing better than line dried laundry! Your sweet Addie has ears so similar to my brody boy. Such handsome dogs. I have never been to your neck of the woods, but boy oh boy, you make me want to go and see your little bit of heaven on earth. Love you my country girl ;-)

Aloha Paula

Great post, sweet Lea! My heart never fails to gush when you talk about your sweet boys. I love that they're so sweet to you! I know you're ecstatic about that lilac bush...hooray! Your comment about the dandelions made me chuckle out loud. Just the other day my hubby said...do you realize no other houses around us have dandelions? Not one! There goes the neighborhood! LOL

Your potting bench is soooo cool and hooray for new wood to play with! Congrats on your precious new baby calf! What a sweet little face! = )

Happy weekend!

Love ya!
