I love Toads!

Today, Myguy was taking the dogs through my craft room, to put them outside. Then I heard, ..."Uhhh honey, there's a toad in my boot." I must say, that statement had me rather confused, until he explained that he meant his boot with the flowers.* !!!!!!!!!

Remember, I had to put all my flowerpots in the house last night because of the frost; well, that meant the "flowerboots" too. ~I ran to get my camera and sure enough... 'Myguy had a toad in his boot."
A few years ago, I planted flowers in an old coffee pot at the pottin shed, and placed it on the ground right in front of the doorway. The next day, I walked by and noticed the dirt was all pushed up? Without thinking I picked up the pot and started patting it back down. To my surprise, the dirt started moving..... "EeeeeeeeeeeeeeeK!" In a hurry I put the pot down and up popped a big, fat toad. lol I picked him up and set him on the ground. - Next day... walking by; I noticed the dirt was all pushed up again. It was back inside that coffee pot! (I guess if I were a toad, I'd want to live in a coffee pot too.) It kind of took over that old pot for the summer.

I've always loved toads, so couldn't be happier that one found a new house in BigDaddy's boot.
Boots n toad are residing back outdoors on the front steps though.
Life sure is humorous sometimes.

Holykisses,
Lea

Too funny! I kinda like frogs myself. They look a bit different down here in Florida. I have many that "live" in my yard. One bout near gets stepped on when we come in at night because he loves the door way area.

OH...thought of you today when my little man hollered, mama look at that beautiful green dragonfly! We have some nice ones here. I'll try to take a picture.

OMGooooodness Lea!! I would have FREAKED out! I HATE toads!! All that jumping when you least expect it...like a balloon popping in your face!! I do LOVE the boots though...I have one of my daddy's old boots out on my porch right now...my momma has the other and we have Hen & Chicks that we gathered from our cabin in Eagle Nest, New Mexico...planted in them! The boots are getting pretty worn by the weather now but Im praying "Dear God, PLEASE dont let a froggie take up residence in my boot!" :)

So loving your garden...growing so beautiful! And the word of GOD...wow! Isnt He so amazing!

Have a blessed weekend Lea and everyone who post here...love your comments!

Soooooooo cute! I love those pictures! If I were a toad, I think I'd want to live at your place! = ) Others might shoo him away, but I think somehow he knows you love & welcome him. Hope you have a wonderful, fantastic weekend!

The most interesting part of reading your post is you never know what might show up. I agree with Edie, you are very talented.
