Flea n Tique Find!

I think today's find is my favorite yet!
I know the owners of thee antique shop and they'd recently purchased a few things from a whare house in Kansas City.

As I strolled the isles looking for new things, I spotted the cross. My heart did a little leap, and as I made my way to it, I could scarcely believe my eyes.
An olde kneeling bench! I looked it over to see if it's still sturdy, and if the hinges still work on the kneeling part.... and it's all good! As I looked it over, I could find no price tag. I had no idea how much something like this would run?

I went to the front, having it in my mind already that if it wasn't too high, I could put it on lay away. The owner said he was in that very moment in the process of looking it up so he could price it. He walked to the back with me and looked it over again- then he looked up at me and said, "How bout 20 bucks?" I had to refrain from jumping up and down!!!!!!!!! (stay calm Lea... what if they change their mind?) lololol
Back at the counter, his business partner said, "You should give her those medals that came from the same place?" He set them on the counter and said, "You can have those too if you want." They were marked 4.00, but they threw them in since I bought the kneeling alter. Two of them are sterling silver. :) what a fun day!

When I got home, I carried it out of my truck and set it on the ground to take a picture and Merry Pearl would not stay off of it. I think she likes it as much as I do.

The cushioned top is kinda ratty, but I like it. Think I'll just scrub it up and leave it just the way it is. Just think of all the people who have surrendered their hearts to God there.

I don't know where it's going to go yet...? But it definitely found a home.
If you went yard saling or junking this weekend, I'd love to hear what you found as well.

Oh Lea, God knew you were going by that way today! What a treasure He picked out and for just the perfect child of His! I am smiling and blessed by your find. Thank you for always sharing life's simple pleasures with us.

I was working in my garden today, (sweating, sneezing, and swatting too) and I thought of you. You have a sister in Christ in Ohio that you haven't met but maybe we will meet one day in the perfect garden that He has for us with no weeds! Enjoy your beautiful bench! Say a prayer for me too!

What a great find you have. Wonder how many people used that in their weddings. It would look beautiful in a wedding during our time with it covered in white satin.

Glad you got some rain after all the hard work you did. I think it's heading out way maybe tomorrow.
Blessings,
AE

I think it's wonderful and I am with you just cleanin' it up and leavin' it as is!
And the medals are the perfect accompaniment...
I found some cloches but I didn't get them but hopefully they'll still be there Monday~ I won't hold my breath because usually they are gone when I go back but there were a few and maybe just maybe there will be one left for me...
Wishing you a blessed, blessed evening and Lord's Day tomorrow...

What a neat find and for 20 bucks! Those medals are neat too and ya can't beat free. I'm thinking it might end up near your special door.

I have not been to one yard sale since moving here! I don't see them...crazy, huh?! I've been in a few shops, but nothing has hollered out my name. ; )
