Eagle Wings

Greetings and Holykisses,

Feeling very needy and worrisome this morning, I rolled out of bed and carried my bible to the table. Opening my devotional; an index card fell out of the front. I don't remember writing it, or putting it there...but I did. "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16 . Opening my bible, the page fell open to the very page with Hebrews 4:16 on it. -- So I go boldly to the throne of grace, to obtain His mercy and find His grace to help me in this neediness.

Another verse came as well. Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

How many times has this verse stood out over the past year? Yet today, .... it means more to me than ever. (Thanks Lord.)

My devotional is Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. April 30th says: "When some basic need is lacking-- time, energy, money-- consider yourself blessed. Your very lack is an opportunity to latch onto Me in unashamed dependence. When you begin a day with inadequate resources, you must concentrate your efforts on the present moment. This is where you are meant to live-- in the present; it is the place where I always await you. Awareness of your inadequacy is a rich blessing, training you to rely wholeheartedly on Me.

The truth is that self-sufficiency is a myth perpetuated by pride and temporary success. Health and wealth can disappear instantly, as can life itself. Rejoice in your insuffiency, knowing that My power is made perfect in weakness."

Seeking His presence today.
Boldly.

Eagle wings and Holykisses,
Lea
