MondayMonday....

Greetings and Holykisses,

Meet two new chicklets hatched inside the potting shed. They've now taken up residence in my craft room in the house and are hoping to get a few more friends tomorrow. It really feels like spring when the babies start coming. See their little egg tooths on the fronts of their beaks?

Today I mowed and worked in the garden much of the day. Then this evening; loaded manure and old hay in the barn and hauled wheelbarrow loads to put around the blackberry's and raspberrys in the garden. I think we only planted 3 raspberry canes last year and boy oh boy have they multiplied. And we have more blackberry plants than ever. I see cobblers and maybe even jelly in our future!

Tomorrow I'm looking forward to re-tilling the garden and am very tempted to plant tomatoes and then start hauling more old hay mulch to those as well. I know It's really pushing it... we could still get a freeze... or a frost at the very least. Plant, or wait? Plant or wait?....

I made the mistake a few years back of planting bamboo around the goldfish pond. I had no idea how that stuff takes over. It comes up everywhere now. So today, I started cutting alot of it down. Looking on the bright side; our catfish have gotten pretty big, so probably need to save a few canes, and ask Trent to make some fishing poles!

Everything seems to be coming to life here. The peonies are doing great! The hydrangeas, azaleas, snowball bush and lilacs are all perkin up, and today I noticed even the glads are poking out of the ground. I'll try to remember my camera when I go out tomorrow.

Well it's late, and I don't know about you but I'm tuckered out.
Good night all!

L

Hi Miss Lea ...

My Oh My it's been a while since I stopped in to chat ..I've so missed reading your posts sweetie !!!

Oh it's been so long since I've been around hatching chicks ..but I'll never forget them from when I was a little girl..and they hatched in a cardboard box we had with a warm light clipped to the side of it. I can't describe the smell but I've never forgotten it to this day.

Oh Please remember to take your camera ..I would love to see pictures of all your Beautiful Garden.

Thanks for stopping in at my blog and for the much needed prayers. God has surely been hearing and answering those prayers ..we have been so very blessed as of late.

May you have a beautiful day in the garden tomorrow..

Hugs and blessings ..Sara

Sounds like a delightful day Lea! You've got a goldmine there in that manure/hay combo! I want some bamboo, I love the way it takes over a ugly spot! :) Enjoy your new babies, so cute! Time to rejoice in the season!

You make me tired just listening to what you've done. Let's see I seem to remember planting flowers in front of our house (before we sold it) many, many moons ago. Your place sounds beautiful or will be when the time is right.

Thank you so much for the card. That was so sweet of you and I really appreciate it.

Hope you got a good night's rest.

Love you, AliceE.

Sweet little babbies...love them.

Glad to hear your garden is waking up...it is SPRING. Plant, hmm...well it is an el nino yr...what usually happens in your neck of the woods during one? I can't remember. I'm thinking it stays warm because of the jet streams location.

I am really glad to hear that your peonies are ok! Prayed they would be.

Baby chicks are so cute.
Sounds like every thing is looking pretty good down there.
I haven't transplanted my peonies when it was warm enough they were up pretty good so I didn't know if I should or not. Well, maybe in the fall. I think there is a word for that but I don't think I can spell it.

Have a glorious Easter.

Spring has sprung on the shed! Love the orchids.

As we come into this blessed time of year, I am overcome with love and gratitude obedience of Jesus to his father. I just this prayer that he prayed before he was arrested.
John 17:20-26 (King James Version)

20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

24Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

For this I give thanks.

Aloha Paula
