Got Off My Feed Yesterday

Just finished the book of John this morning.
To date; it's my very favorite book of the bible.
The verse above....was said, and read over n' over this past week. Wish you could peek into my bible notes n prayer journal. To top that off, this very verse is on the front page of the MARCH chapter in my devotional Jesus Calling. *imagine that* ;)

I'm glad Jesus is my Shepherd, and I'm thankful that I'm one of His lil sheep. As I was lookin through some of my books this morning, I came across the one on the mantle. It's called Food For Lambs. It was written in 1904 and I think I found it at a flea market. I'm re-reading it now, and will try to share some of it with you as I go. It's actually for young christians: lambs, but it's good for some of us older sheep too!
I don't know if you're familiar with "rug hooking," but I thought I'd share the rug my friend Katie made and blessed me with! I just got it hung this morning, and I love it so much! (If you're reading this; thankyou Katie!!!) I'm thankful for our new friendship, and I love what the ichthus represents! <*)))><

This last picture is Henny Penny- and she's one smart girl. This lil lady run to me when she sees me, and begs for "bread."
She'll eat out of my hand and often is seen waiting under the bird feeder. When I fill the feeder, I always put a little extra on the post beneath it, and Henny Penny waits for birds to knock seed off "for her." lol She knows where she's gonna get fed.

Regretfully, I missed church yesterday and I can't help but feel like I got off my feed. Church is one of the places I get fed. I guess that's why this little red hen caught my eye today. Like her, I need and love my "bread."

Onto Luke!

I know, whenever we have to miss church, the whole day is just off! Love your spring look here and Henny is adorable, just like you!

I loooove the hooked rug! Looks absolutely perfect on your wall too :-) I have so much fun visiting you and "listening" to all the shenanigans of your many "friends" on the farm! I always leave your place with a smile on my face! BTW - John is one of my favorite books in the Bible as well with Romans and Ephesians. Psalms and Job are on my list as well! Anyway...have a great week my friend ;)

Hugs,
Debbie

I know how you feel...I just never referred to it that way. BUT now I am. I am off my feed. Yup. I like it and it will remind me of you. =] Hopefully, I won't be off my feed very often though. ;]

HI sweet-Lea! I think I figured a way to come to your blog without my computer getting all worked up! (I use AOL, but instead I'll visit you by using "E" explorere!)

I agree...when I miss a church message/service, I feel like I've missed a meal! I feed myself daily, but we do need our fellowship families! He is the bread of Life!

Have a blessed evening!
~Hugs and love, Heidi
