Finding Purple, And Lots of Golden Nuggets

Greetings and Holykisses,

We've been having the most amazing warm weather here and I've been taking full advantage of it. Although it's still way too early to plant most of the garden, it's been perfect weather to plant potatoes and onions. We now have two rows of Pontiac potatoes in, and a couple packs of yellow and red onions.

Over the weekend, I found myself in the book of Acts; reading about my beloved Lydia. I'd mentioned this to some of my friends and several of them commented about "Purple." Edie wrote "Have a wonderful purple day." ~This was Saturday; the same day, that I was planting these onion bulbs. While digging I saw "something" in the dirt. To my delight... it was this little purple glass stone. It was definitely a "purple" day afterall. ;)
The corgis love to hang out with me at the garden. This one is Francoise. He bugged me to no end to throw this dadgum ball. Every time I turned around he'd drop it in my little trench with the tater seed, or on top of onion sets. He'd look up at me just like this... and smile. I ask, "How can he be so annoying and yet be so doggone cute?" My arm was actually sore the next day. I don't think from hoeing near as much as from throwing that ball as far as I possibly could. lol

Had to share this little sign that came in my mail this week. My Lieb Kristi of Kiki's Corner sent this joybuzz that inspired me all the more to get my prayer closet at the garden cleaned up! I love this sign so much and definitely noticed the purple dragonfly perched on it!
Thankyou Kristi........... I love all the goodies you sent so much. You did indeed bless my socks off!* ~ Now, If you've never met Kristi, please click on her name and visit her Corner. :) A few short months ago, I found myself visiting as often as I could to hear the latest on her daughter Rachel who had brain surgery. If you don't believe in miracles....go read Rachel's story! You'll find it on her left sidebar. (To God be the glory!)

I've been so blessed in my reading this week. This morning I finished the book of Romans. Some of you know, I'd never read the bible all the way through. I've been excited this week; reading many stories and verses I'd never heard before. I feel like a little kid who just returned home from church camp; excited and wanting to tell someone the things I've been learning. When you read a really good story, do you ever find yourself making noises?* You know; when something just grips you all over? Reading about Paul's persecutions, and how he handled them - - had me sighing, and holding my breath, and has me wanting to know more and more.

My favorite part was in Acts 26 where he begins telling of his past; he was so transparent about his life. He just tells it like it is. When he described what happened on the Damascus road, I got goosebumps. I also loved how he used the life he'd once led ... - for good. And when people accused him, and persecuted him... he used it for great opportunity to share the gospel.

In Romans, I found so many nuggets. Loved them all, but my favorite verse is this one: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2

So much has been happening around here... and I have so much I could show you... but I'm baking and blogging and I can so not burn these cookies! We'll have to save it all for another day. Chocolate chip cookie anyone?

Sweet, sweet Lea, YOU are the blessing! Thank you for your precious words...girl you know how much I love you. I'll never be able to thank you enough for all of the times you met us at the feet of Jesus as we prayed for His healing hand for Rachel. Oh, God is so good!

I've just got to get my onions and potatoes planted too. Have you heard about planting potatoes in a trash can? A trash can??? I don't know if it will work or not, but I may just have to try it.

I better run. Blessings to you, my Lieb!

Great post! I LOVE that you found that purple stone...definitely a God sighting in your day.

That sign from Kristi is so cool! Both of you guys are about as sweet as sweet can be!

Francoise looks like he has a face you could never refuse...sore arm and all. ; )

I love Romans 12:2...it was one of the first verses I choose to memorize last year for the Scripture Memory Challenge. Love it. May it be so!

Love & blessings,
Tracy

Neat that you 'found' that purple stone. Your corgi is way too cute...that IS actually a smile!
How I love digging in the dirt and not going to be able to at this place...sigh. Even if I tried that trash can idea a bear would get into it. Might try that topsy turvy mater thing a ma bob inside my back porch?!?
"Noises"...you're so cute; ok, fine, yes I do the same thing ; )
Paul is an interesting read for sure.

I'll come back later to see about your friend and her blog...it is really late.

Can I have a cuppa tea with that cookie...please?
