Happy 27th Anniversary My Love

Once upon a time, we were a coupla High school sweet hearts who were madly in love with eachother.

We had no money, and no plans; other than we wanted to be together- forever.
Disapproval met us at every corner, when we told people we were *getting married*.

"What are you thinkin?" "Where are you gonna live?" "How are you gonna make it?" "How are you gonna eat?" "What are you gonna drive?" "Where you gonna go?" "What are you gonna do?" Our answer?.... "I dunno... but we'll make it!

Feb 5, 1983

In a borrowed dress and veil, we made it official.
Mr. and Mrs; ...........Ahhhhh we so loved the sound of that.

20 years later we repeated our vows in a sweet little church in Colorado.
Just us.... the preacher,... and his wife and daughter. And now today... it's been another 7 years since then.

Honestly; looking back ... I don't know how we managed... but we always did. We lived in this tiny little apartment... which was basically a shack that has long since been torn down.

These were our wedding gifts, and as you can see we were were two lil peas in a pod. It didn't matter to us that we didn't have a pot to pee in or a window to throw it out of. We bought groceries at Prairie Market and lived on eggs, fried potatoes., oh; and lotsa ...love. We bought everything second hand and lived within our means-... but more than anything... I know now, that GOD had His hand on us.

We met because I ran into him... literally. I was cruising with my galpals and we saw a souped up Charger full of guys. I was behind them in the Safeway parking lot, so I decided to give them a little PUSH. (Oh yes I did.) A carload of testosterone jumped out and ran back to us totally irate, until they figured out we were a bunch of girls out having a little fun. We were 16 years old. And the rest, as they say... is history.

And after the wedding....
Then came ... the "boys."
Two sons full of vinegar. We kinda look like the James gang don't we?

What a wild bunch we were.

And God... well, He was invited into all our hearts, and life just kept getting better and better.
And 27 years later... we're still best friends.
"Now shut up and kiss me."

Happy Anniversary Myguy!
Love,
Your best friend.

Oh My Sweet Friend,

This sounds so much like our story. High School sweethearts at 16 yrs. old, borrowed my sister-in-laws wedding dress, but I did buy my veil...he didn't have enough money for a ring so his brothers and sisters pooled their money together to buy me one so he could sweetly propose and give it to me...we lived in a very small apartment that his parents owned, thus we paid no rent...oh I could go on, but your love story is so similar to ours.

I love your post today. Happy 27th Anniversary. We made it to our 30th last September 1. You are so dear and sweet in heart. I am very much a romantic in heart and it feels and looks like you very much are too.

Such precious, precious pictures. I absolutely love this and you made a warm loving smile come across my face today as I read through and viewed your precious lives together because it also made me reflect on my precious life with my husband over the years too.

Love you sweet one,
Alleluiabelle

You two are the best!! What an inspiration! I get all teary eyed just looking at those pics of days gone by. That little 2-room apartment you called home... Mike's old truck, sold so you could by a home...and then those boys! What a blessing! All couples should be as happy as you two! Love you!
