WORD filled Wednesday SWEET and SALTY seasonings

Greetings and Holykisses!

Yooohooo anybody around? Boy does it feel good to be back at the shed today! I know some of you have been asking and wondering just what's been going on with me? I've appreciated your emails, comments and especially prayers! While I've been away, I've been seeking God with all my heart about some junk I've been going through. I know now, it's been a spiritual battle and honestly it's been making it really hard for me to literally write. Not like a writers block so much, but rather after I've written something I later torment over it. Doubts, fears, worries, and other similar stinkin thinkins were creeping in and clouding my focus. The more I walked in that, the more my mind was plagued, ....til finally I drafted most of the blog and thought about hanging up a closed sign. I wonder if any of my fellow bloggers have had any similar spiritual attacks? We know the enemy hates it when we praise God, ... loves to try and confuse us, and wants badly to shut us all up for good.

For the past several days I've poured into the word; asking God for wisdom, discernment, clear understanding, and guidance. He opened my eyes to TRUTH. And we know it's His truth that sets us free!!
"He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust." Psalm 91: 2
Moving forward to today's wfw scripture picture......
"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." Colossians 4:6
This week, feeling a little more domestic than I have been in a while, I started making a pan of homemade cinnamon rolls, and hotrolls for my family. My first try, -I think the water was too hot and the yeast croaked. I could tell after I got it all mixed together it was a dud. Thankfully the ladies in the coop, have been keeping up, and I had plenty of eggs for a do over. This time, my dough turned out, but when I flopped it into my greased bowl to rise, I realized I'd forgotten the salt. I wasn't sure if it would matter if I just left it out, but not wanting to disappoint my fam, I took the dough back out, and added a few dashes of spiritual seasoning and then started kneading it through. As you can see, the rolls did turn out, but more importantly the Lord seasoned my heart with His word while we baked bread together.

Ever get tongue tied when someone asks you a question?
Become speechless when a non believer mocks your God?
Have you ever said something you wish you hadn't and want to just run for the hills?
Spiritual seasonings give our words an answer, and are that "sweet and salty," people crave.

Happy word filled Wednesday!

"Love God, your God, with your whole heart. Love Him, with all that's in you. Love Him with all you've got!" Deuteronomy 6:5

It's great to hear from you Lea!!! I understand how you are feeling! Often, not so much with blogging, but just everyday I talk...I always worry that I may have said something wrong or offended someone without meaning to. But I just keep praying and staying in the word and trusting that He will guide me in my speech!

YAY for homemade cinnamon rolls! YUM-O!!! :)

Welcome back!!

Way to go to seek Him through the battle and be an overcomer in Him!!

You are so right about Satan wanting us to "Stop", but God wants us to "Go" more. You paused for the Yellow light, searched it out, and then went.

Blessings as you continue on with Him.
