A Little Junque From Our Road Trip

Greetings and Holykisses,

Some of you have asked what we found at thee junque stores on our recent road trip.
Here's a quick post of some of our finds.

Two, dyed carved pearl buttons, and a handful of old cabinet keys and skeleton keys.
Hatpins, and olde corsage pins, and crocheted lace. The tiny handheld mirror was a real find, but the mirror part is messed up. Think I'll alter it, with a new image for fun. The half doll was my favorite thing... she has pink roses in her hair. Also, I sifted through so many baskets of cabinet cards, and only brought home; three. One, I'll blog about another day, as I found out it's "special!" Stay tuned!
The beads were from the coolest bead store. I have big plans for the tiny turquoise ones, and fell in love with the felted wool beads. I've wanted to learn how to make them... ; if any of you, have mastered this, please write me!
These beads are special as well. Made by women in Africa, out of paper. I'll treasure them.
Rusty pool baskets are a new favorite of mine. Don't they bring back memories?
This vintage shopping cart was also a squeal,... I mean steal! I've wanted one for a long time, and just don't see them around here. Now it needs a shabby liner made from vintage barkcloth with fluffy pink roses. I'm wondering if I can talk Fancy Nancy into making one? ;)
Did you notice thee aqua wheels? In good shape too! I can just envision it strolling thee isles at flea markets.
An olde magazine stand also found it's way back to Arkansas! My favorite mags and books are always out of sight; but this way.... inspiration is within easy reach.
And more vintage jars for Lydia jars. Two I'll keep to add to my growing collection. They are CROSS mason jars. I've seen them, but never bought one. Usually they are pricey, but these were cheapcheap! Now it's time to start gathering more purple! I wonder who they'll go to?

Gotta run,
Have a hair appointment and I'm in the mood for a change! Just printed out a couple pictures of SHORT new dos I like. Now... do I take the plunge, or stay safe?
Uggg, I'm so vain.

Smoochy holykisses,
God bless the USA this 9-11, and the families of those who lost loved ones.
I'll never forget.
Lea

What fab treasures ya found on your road trip. Have fun getting all beautified. I'm finding the maintenance gets more expensive the older I get...especially from the neck up!!!

Enjoy your day and have a blessed weekend.

Sweetness!!! We sure would get in some trouble, girl! After me and Maddy went to Somewhere in Time we went to an architectual salvage place, and do you know what I wanted most of all out of that whole place? He had dozens of "POOL BASKETS"!!!! He wouldn't part with the first one because he uses them to store small items like doorknobs etc... So glad my bloggy buddy got some, though!!

And I love all types of glass bottles, too. Sea glass is enchanting, though I don't own any. I don't have a full-on grape thing but John 15 is my favorite chapter of the Bible, so grapes have a special meaning to me. ABIDE IN THE VINE! And I will bear lovely clusters of plump juicy fruit!! YEAH!!! Doesn't get any better than that!!

I so appreciate you, Lea, and your zeal for God and the vine-life. You inspire me and I'm sure all those who know you personally. Plus you are just plain fun!

You simply must show us your new "do"!!

Oh and I LOVE your new background!! Looks great!

Hugs 'n love,
Becky

Good girl, you found a lot of things to keep you busy. Can't wait to see what you make. I've had a lot of compliments on the Pearls of Wisdom, the card and the mailing label.

I've had a slight hair change. I found a small picture of the lady that lived here before her surgery in 1999 but she never came back. I took that picture to my hairdresser and when she was finished that lady was back except for one small change - the color.

You always make my day.
Blessings,
Luv u,
AliceE.

Pool baskets, huh? I love those!
You have sure found some great things lately!

I love ya like an aqua peely cabinet with stacks of embroidered antique linens from France inside with bags of lavendar blossoms tucked between :) Is that good?

I am soon gonna need chicken lessons...the temp is dropping and so are the birds...well do hutches have to have heaters or do the birds just dig into a burrow and hide for 6 months??? (I hope that is what they do...)
