The Most Holy House

Greetings and Holykisses,

Oh how I love 1 and 2 Chronicles!
This past week, our 7 days laying it down, brought attention to our bodies being the temple of the Lord. Today, I read about the most holy house. The house King Solomon built for God. The house thee Ark of the Covenant would come to rest.

"And thou Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts; if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever. Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it." 1 Chron 28:9-10

"And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed; for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord." 1 Chron 28:20

Know the God of thy Father.
Serve Him with a perfect heart.
Serve Him with a willing mind.
For the Lord searcheth ALL hearts.
Be strong and of good courage.
Fear not.
God is with you!

So many truths were discovered today.
Mysteries uncovered.
And like Solomon, I pray for wisdom and knowledge.

Solomon took great care to build this most holy house.
I need to go back and see if I can uncover how long it actually took. (if you know, please comment!)
Imagine watching this house go uP day by day! The vast timbers brought in, Beams, overlaid in gold. The doors were of gold and cherubim engraved on the walls. Garnishings of jewels, ... the Most Holy House was built for our living God.

"And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord unto his place to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims: For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. " 2 Chron 5:7-8

After everything was placed inside and everything was done, Solomon prayed. He knelt before the congregation and spread forth his hands to the heavens. "And he said, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and showest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:"

I love how Solomon "built for the Lord."
I love how he humbled himself before men and unto God.
I love how he loved and served God.

Solomon prayed for the people and asked God to forgive them when they confessed their sin and turned back to God with all their heart and soul. He finished up his prayer saying,2 Chron 6:41 "Now therefore arise, O Lord God, into thy resting place, Thou, and the ark of Thy strength: let Thy priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation, and let Thy saints rejoice in goodness. O Lord God, turn not away the face of Thine anointed; remember the mercies of David Thy servant.

2 Chronicles 7: 1 "Now when Solomon had made an end of praying the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house."

2 Chron 7:3 "When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the Lord, saying For He is good; for His mercy endureth forever."

Oh glory!! Reading this today has me dropping to the floor with my face to the carpet, to worship! But I no sooner did, and was attacked by 3 pembroke corgis wanting to play.
lol Life is good. God is GOOD!!

FOR HE IS GOOD, AND HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A beautiful and powerful sharing dear sister.

I too love 1 Chronicles chapter 28. When we dig deep in it we can see some things in our time of laying it all down so that we can pick up those things that are pleasing to GOD in our own lives unto HIS GLORY.

I so appreciate your heart and hunger for the LORD. You're inspiring. Love you.

The Lord is almighty and great. great is his faithfullness to his beloved. Isnt it awesome that he just CONSUMED the temple with hsi presence. Nothing wishy washy about that!!!

Got a kick how you were brought to your knees by the holy spirit, and your corgis wanted to play. Nothing like a dog to bring you back down to earth :-)

Thank you for the God thoughts Lea, your postings allow me more time to reflect on the Lord and his almighty love, power, and grace. And many times it dovetails what Godi s bringing to me in my own walk through the word.

Have a blessed day Paula
