Let's Go Muddin.... and Autographed Books

Good morning dear friends!

Thought I'd share a few pictures with you of a little family fun!

Sunday afternoon we all loaded up and went muddin. The place we like to go to is called "the bottoms, and just getting there is a feat in and of itself. In places, the road? is more like a deer trail. There's barely room to get a vehicle through the trees, and huge holes with deep ruts are filled with stinky-stagnant water. Yuck. But once you get through it all, the Arkansas River greets your path, and it's like having your own secluded beach all to yourself.
Beautiful isn't it?
This is where the kids want to go camping before the summer's over. They love to drive in the river, do donuts in the sand and "play hard."

In a few places, there are big mudpits full of deep, slimy mud. The more you go through them the deeper the ruts get and if you're not careful your vehicle nearly disappears. lol

This is our son Tony in his offroadin Chevy. I remember how he loved to make mudpies when he was a little boy. Now, he slings mud with a little more horsepower. ;)
Believe it or not, he's smack dab in the middle of all this mud. He definitely gives new meaning to the word camouflaged.
Thank goodness he's washable. I wonder if he found any fish inside the cab of his truck? I did notice a little seaweed here and there.
The sand is fun too but mud is easier on your eyes.
Who needs a boat when you have a chevy right?
Heeheehaahaahoohoo.... -- we made alot of new memories and had some good quality time together. At thee end of the hot day, we jumped in the river with our clothes on. I mean; why not, right?
Last night, I had another exciting surprise. I had an email from Liz Curtis Higgs waiting in my inbox. I won 4 autographed copies of her bad girls of the bible series!!!!!!! I'm still so excited I can hardly take it!

Then I got to wondering.... ?

Maybe it's a sign?!
What do you think?

I love AR waterways they are so much cleaner than Mo.s but you couldn't tell it by the truck. I mowed this morning after a six inch rain and it was still sprinkling. Would that qualify this farm chick as a mudder? Have a restful evening.
