Late Night Crafting, and Chocolate Cake

Greetings and Holykisses Yall!

Stayed up late last night and had a ball. By the time I finished, I could not see my big long table, in my craft room. ~ My last day flea marketing, "when I showed you the metal dish strainer; I didn't take a picture; but had found a whole stack of vintage index cards in their original box. Last night, I got to start using them. I can't show a picture of the first one I did because I made it for one of you- my fellow bloggers! One hint... it's going to someone who likes blues n browns and I used the letter D card. ;)

This one was a blast to make. Made a copy of this: "Dolly Dingle," paper doll, and gave her some butterfly wings. I'd never made a pinwheel before but she really wanted to hold one.
I loved the lyrics in this old hymn, and the Lord does supply all my needs!

This morning my dear friend Fancynancy sent me an email that I had to share with you.
Ever get an urge for a "little chocolate cake?" Whoever thought of this is a genius! I've baked cakes in jars before but not in a coffee cup!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?

Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Looks good doesn't it with a little dollydingledollup of icecream on the side?
I haven't tried it yet so don't yell at me if it's awful. Least we'll only be out a handful of ingredients and five minutes right? lol

I'm off to pay bills in the big city. Okay so it's not really that big, but this country bumpkin has always been a little intrigued by high society chicks who " go into the city for the day."
The big city to me is one that has stoplights.
I'm the country mouse.
SMOOCHY HOLY KISSES DAAAARLING,
I'm off to the city*

O my dear sister I looked past that ice cream and chocolate cake photos (smile).

I so enjoyed sharing with you today. I wish I could peek into your craft area. I know it's awesome.

Our last child at home is taking a two week trip soon and I'm breaking out my scrappbooking and taking some time off to do that. It's been a LONG TIME and photos are backed up.

You know what I'd like to do? I would like to create 3D types of pages. Any tips?

I'd also like to make a type of ragedy ann doll for my two granddaughters but I don't use a sewing machine so I'll be sewing by hand. Do you know what I should stuff the fabric with? I thought cotton.

Anyway I love crafts but mainly buying what others create but my girlfriend recently received a gift I had paid for to send to her and she said, "Sis. Lisa you could have made this for me." I thought...mmm... maybe I'm selling myself a bit short in the craft area. She saw birdhouses I painted and decorated LONG ago.

Ok this is a long message. Love you sweet sister.

Lea ..I love your new little altered art piece ..and aren't those index cards just the best ..I use them all the time !!

O.k. the cake looks delish !! ..Well have to try this when I am in a pince ..Gee that reminds me of the recipe we make for the Chocolate Lava Cake ..I'll have to share it.

You know I live in the city ..and I don't go to town ..Im still trying to figure out what the gals do there too ..other than buy more clothes and shoes ..and where do you wear all of them ..??? I have a few favorite pairs of shoes and my blue jeans or short and on occasion my sundress and what else does a gal need ?

I think we are out of the loop where that is concerned ..do you wear makeup ? I don't ..and I can never understand when you can buy a perfectly beautiful flat of flowers ..how you can possibly spend ..$50 of some fancy face cover ..or whatever they call it.

Well this was a fun post ...got me to thinking about how silly we humans are ...LOL !!

Have a Great day and try not to run any stop signs ...ha ha ha ..

Hi Lea, Nice to meet you!! I can't believe your post today because I just got finished eating my cake in a mug for the first time. I had seen the recipe on a blog awhile ago and tonight I just needed chocolate and so I googled it and found the same recipe you posted and made one. I altered the recipe slightly cutting back on the sugar and oil. It certainly hit the spot!! I hope you enjoy yours!

And then I scrolled down to find you had posted a cherry recipe - OH MY! I think we were meant to meet in blogland!! I have to read more now!!

hugs, Linda
