Busy Weekend, And Before n After Flea Find.

Greetings and Holykisses,

Hope yall had a great weekend!
We kept busy working at thee apartment. The painting is almost done. Our son picked out a dolphin blue for his bathroom, and tulip stem green for his bedroom. So, Saturday night, I put the final coat on both, and truly fell in love with his bathroom! He tiled his shower stall himself and did a really nice job! With beautiful new shower tile and those dolphin blue walls, I felt like I was at the beach! Very soothing and spa like! Getting so excited to be finished over there, so he can move in, and then............ I get to start on our bedroom!

Myguy borrowed a backhoe from a friend and got the sewer system all finished. Got it all inspected and most of it covered up. I stayed out there yesterday afternoon watching him because the bank is kind of steep and I was worried he could tip over. Next will come the task of picking up lots and lots of rocks that were unearthed. Looks like a rock ranch.

We still have kitchen cabinets to get, doors to paint, tile for the bathroom floor, and all new carpet to put in. The laundry room is not finished either. We did find a great deal on a used refrigerator, kitchen stove and dishwasher. Some people are remodeling their kitchen and going with stainless steel, so they are selling all their other appliances! Yay! The Lord provides doesn't He???!!!!

Last night, I nearly finished my little Flea find. Remember how it looked in the photo above, when I brought it home? I actually liked the little trees painted on it, but I hated the house. Not my taste.

So it got a fresh coat of paint,
some vintage sheet music, and lots of German glass glitter. From country to shabby! I still have one line of glitter to put on it where the two sides don't line up perfectly by the word evil but I'm doing that in sticklers glitter instead of german glass, because I think I can be more precise and I ran out of the sticklers silver. I'm picking some up today and I'm anxious to put one bead of it across the bottom, so it won't show then that they're uneven; not that it really matters, but I'll like it better! When that's done, it will be ready to hang.

This was my first experience with glass glitter. It really does shine pretty but containing it is difficult. You definitely want to press your object into the glitter instead of thee other way around. With non glass glitter I end up with it all over the place. You can't do that with this stuff, because 1.-- it's sharp, and 2.-- it's expensive, you don't want to waste it. -- Anyways, I sprayed this piece with sealer and that really seemed to help hold the glitter in place. Now it matches the vintage writing box my sister gave me! I'll like having the Lord's prayer hanging up in my craft room!

"Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen." Matthew 6: 9-13

Have a beautiful day!
Smoochy holy kisses,
L
