Word Filled Wednesday ~In Christ~

Greetings and Holykisses,

Yesterday our Sputnik caterpillar hatched!
I found this huge green caterpillar last summer and brought him indoors. His home became a jar filled with grass and leaves from our yard. He seemed to like lilac leaves the best. He ate alot! Before we knew it, he spun into a cocoon.

I researched caterpillars to learn a little bit about them. Don't remember what kind he even is right now; that was a long time ago! He sat on our cupboard for weeks. Finally, as the weather started to get cooler, I put his jar in an unzippered bag and put him in the vegetable bin in our refrigerator. Yep; you read correctly; right next to the carrots and apples all winter long.

Over a month ago; maybe two, I took him out and set him back on the cupboard. This past week, I began wondering if something went wrong and he may have died. I seriously considered "cleaning out" the jar.* So glad I didn't because walking past the jar yesterday I noticed a strange color out the corner of my eye. Sputnik was transformed! His wings were so big, that I was afraid he'd hurt himself, so then I had to empty my gigantic yarn jar and make him a temporary home in it, til he got more used to his gigantic new wings. ~ Later this afternoon, he was set freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I can't tell you how incredible it was!
God's just awesome yall!
God is SOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great verse to go with your caterpillar. Just like the caterpillar's life was changed into a beautiful butterfly, our lives are changed when we accept Jesus as our Savior. Yes, we become new creatures in Christ Jesus and the old becomes new. Beautiful.
From my heart to yours,
AliceE.

Oh my, and I usually buy them and the caterpillars are mailed to me in a plastic jar with food. Once the cocoon-like structure has developed, then I transfer them in a see thru box so that the children can watch them hatch into Monarch Butterflies. It's truly amazing, but that's just one of God's great works! Thanks for sharing! Maybe next time I will bring it in from the outdoors instead of paying.

Lea,
I feel uplifted by your posts, and by your comments on my blog.
Thank you for both.

re today's post: There are times in my life where i have felt set free in area, and God is then faithful, to start right in working on another area.
Not easy work sometimes, but the end result is great.

love you,

Barbara jean

When I saw your banner I said "did she catch that???!"
I have never seen one like it anywhere! Unreal! And to think he grew up next to the carrots (you'd think he would have long floppy ears ;)
You forced him like a flower bulb! I wouldn't have known to do that!
