My Kidlets, and Pearly Laughter

Greetings and Holykisses,
Happy Monday, Monday...
Isn't there a song called Monday, monday...
I vaguely remember singing a choir song when I was young that went something like that?

Hope yall had a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for thee encouraging emails. Many hearts were feeling the same things yesterday!

This is a picture of some wild flowers that grow in our yard in the spring. Another bloggy friend calls them Mayflowers so that's what wer'e calling them today too!

I had a wonderful day yesterday. Sweet prevails!
Myguy had a float day and surprised me with taking it off just for me! Yippy!
He also babied me while I was sick and is a very good Doctor. He took my temperature, and kept making me take Tylenol to keep the fever down. When I got up, I found him in the kitchen putting a huge bouquet of roses in a vase. He'd watched me cutting flower stems before so he was trying to do the same. He couldn't find a scissors so was using his pocket knife. heeheehaahaahoohoo. He did an awesome job! He also surprised me with a long strand of "mother of pearls" for Mother's day! I love em so much! -- But don't do what I did: ... I was so excited, and began wrapping them around my neck, .... very short... then started fiddlin with them. *ohoh* .... Ohhhh no..... this is not good? Never wrap tight, n then fiddle with! I went and sat down in front of our big mirror thinking... Ohmygosh, what have I done????? (I can laugh about it now, but.... trust me... at the time I sorta panicked~!) I called to my Love.... "Honey, .... um would you come help me.... PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEAZE?*" He dashes in and upon looking at me, realizes my pearl-fate. You see, when you layer long pearls over your head, and around your neck, real short and then fiddle with them, bad stuff can happen! I'm not kidding! You get knotted up bad! I hadn't felt that trapped since I got accidentally locked in my niece Jamie's bathroom! Anyhow, he begin, re-fiddling with the pearls, and managed to get one loop, pulled back over my too large of ears and big head. ahhhhhh I could breathe again. We had a pretty good laugh over it, and I learned a valuable lesson.
This is my oldest baby Trent who also brought flowers. He called to me from the kitchen, "Momma do you have a scissors?" He even cut them on a slant.... and arranged beautifully! He's the son who has brought me calla lilies and stargazers, for the garden and ....is a manchild who really "knows" his flowers!
I love him so!!
Micki and Tony stopped in after their Anniversary trip further south! Married 4 years already!
Tony's my second born manchild and his beautiful wife Micki
This rose was grown in their own yard! It's so heavily scented, .... I only wish I could grow roses like this! Love them both so much, and I'm so thankful for our three kids!

It's not raining yet today. Have some sunflowers to plant, and salmon hollyhocks.
A third coat of chalkboard paint is on that painting from the thrift shop! This afternoon, I can take the tape off the frame, and give it a fresh coat of stain. Looks like it's gonna turn out!

"When the King smiles, there is life; His favor refreshes like a spring rain." Proverbs 16:15
Have a beautiful day!
The King is smiling.

What a beautiful day you had. My youngest daughter, my son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren came up for supper. Of course my husband cooked. Both my girls had sent me roses last Thursday through the mail and they are so pretty. I'll put pictures up soon. My oldest called, she couldn't come home this past weekend but I think she's coming next weekend.

Glad your feeling better. Your back to your jolly, happy self.
Luv u,
AliceE.
