Alpha and Omega

I'm blessed beyond measure, that my friend asks me to read God's word to her, every time I see her.
"Where do you want me to read," I asked?
"Revelation," she answered.

My fingers flipped pages until the book of Revelation appeared.
"Where in Revelation," I asked?
(silence)
"Read what God says," she said simply.
"But where,... I don't know what you mean," I asked?
"Read what's in RED," she instructed.

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches; and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
UNTO THE angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith He that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
I know thy works and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my names' sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." Revelation 1,2:-8 Jesus Christ

The tree of life
in the midst of the paradise of God.
My friend and I looked into eachother's eyes and
imagined: PARADISE of God.
HE IS... the alpha and omega.
The beginning and thee end.
He who has ears let him hear.

Revalations has been a book that was intimidating for me to study. Recently a group of dear friends completed a study of Revalations...they study Jesus in Revalations and the promise we have in Him. It is neat that your friend too was focusing on those promises. Perhaps it's time for me to study there now too. Thanks for sharing.

You are doing a marvelous thing by reading the scriptures to the friend in the nursing home. She probably has a lot of knowledge about Revelations and understands more than I do about what will happen when we reach Heaven.
Yes, God is the beginning and the end. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the whole world would understood that. Gives you a lot to think about.
Thanks for sharing,
Luv u,
