Hi! I had every intention to post this yesterday, but I forgot I had a doctors appt in the morning and a long dental appoinment in thee afternoon. But a BIG SURPRISE happened this past week. Have you ever received a present from a complete stranger? Thee sweetest lady named HEIDI from Everyday Cookies at Sweet Woodruff Acres, read my blog and dropped me a line. Very soon after, THIS package came in my mail! It had the word: BLESSINGS stamped on it, with a note attached to the front of the wrapper. She said she paints shabby-style signs and when she saw my blog she had a sign she'd painted and she wanted to send it to ME! She ALSO wanted me to know that it was NOT an RAK (random act of Kindness) BUT: A "BLESSING!"You and I both know what that means: something INSPIRED BY GOD! WHOOhOoOoOO;
DO YOU FEEL THE BUTTERFLIES IN YOUR TUMMY LIKE I DID?
After I opened that wrapper, was another wrapper and it was decorated sooooo beautiful! I was very careful to not rip this beautiful paper band, and these flowers, and will save them on my INSPIRATION board to REMIND ME: to listen to that STILL, SMALL VOICE FROM GOD, and when He says to bless someone.... I WILL GOD!!!
NOW... if you have looked at all the pics on my side bar... you may recognize this sweet verse! I have always loved it and this SIGN just totally blessed my socks off! Heidi, YOU are wonderful and I pray God does bless you back SEVEN-FOLD! It was such a jolt of WHOOhOOoO AND will be for the rest of my life when I look at it! She told me I could hang it in the Shabby Olde Potting shed, but don't yall think it's too beautiful? WOW Heidi, you do great work, and if any of you like the look, check out her blog !!!! She has alot of cute ideas on there, how to make flash cards, and I learned how to print on fabric right off my printer! I haven't tried it yet Heidi, but think I will give it a go one of these days! Anyhow, Heidi, I hope you are reading this and I just want you to know how special and FUN this was for me! I too believe we were destined to become friends and reading your blog has helped me get to know you better! Stay tuned because I have future ideas to take pictures of this sign! Thanks again Heidi! ~ Many hugs!Well, I hope yall had a great Mother's day! I really did!! The kids ended up taking us up to a bluff we'd never been to before and we took some awesome pictures! It was alot of fun. I will try to blog about it another day this week.
Since it is bloomin Tuesday I had to show at least a couple flower pictures. Does anyone know what this red flower is? It was along a creek way up in the mountains. I know the pic is a little dark but it is really fun to see a wildflower that I've never seen before!
And here are some roses I piled up from my MOTHER'S DAY bouquet; sweet hubby Mike gave me. They smell so good and I just love layers of rose petals don't you???!!
Lastly, is a bright rose that just bloomed out in my yard. It's a pretty flower, but the picture isn't just the greatest. I think I might have hit something I shouldnt have on my camera when we were up in the mountains... not sure... but somethings not quite right now... ~I will need to look into that. For all those wondering... Stella is still "with us." But... she still hasn't gotten her groove back. We still have to raise her from the rafters in our barn and get her UP to eat and drink. It's really sad. Our goat Lydia is with her her in that pen so she is not alone. But ???? I just don't know.
Well, I better get busy. We are in the middle of working on thee exterior of our house. Yesterday Trent pressure washed it all and Mike is tearing off old rotted siding and replacing where it needs it, and SOON I will start REPAINTING IT! ~WHITE!!!~ Currently it is a ... weathered oak color.... with green trim/shutters, so it will be a big change. I know it is going to take two coats to cover, but I think I'm up for it! If it ever stops raining in Arkansas that is!
Okay, yall have a wonderful day, and especially you Heidi!!
BLESSINGS!
Lea
ps. Did yall notice my new banner? I had it made from Shabby Cottage Studio
and positively LOVE it! Thee artist: Gail, was so attentive to what I wanted! I emailed her my picture of the little girl in the garden and asked her to put dragonfly wings on her: and do you recognize the little toad? I blogged about that toad I found in my garden one day! Then she took the sign off the potting shed and placed it in the banner too... I LOVE it! Check out her site... she has awesome artsy things and is definitely bookmarked by ME! :)

Hi Lea! Wow, what a lovely post, especially all your gorgeous roses! I have such a hard time growing roses, the deer just can't be kept from them! And the dog is getting to old an lazy to bark any more!
I'm glad you liked the sign. It was meant for you, as a blessing. When I read what you wrote I both cried and blushed. God blessed me with the beautiful ray of sunshine, which has been rare here in Oregon.
Oh, and reading back about your down cow...we went through that a few times here too! I'd have to hoist the mama cow up by myself with those hook things you mentioned (my Mark welded a homemade pair!) just so the baby calf could drink! Those were rough days!!! For my mama cow I'd pour a bottle of molasses mixed with water in her mouth, just to give her a little extra sugar energy! Hope you young gal is getting more energy daily.

Lea,
I love your new header, I also liked the one you had up on Mothers's Day aalso. I was thinking of you on that day. I prayed for you. Please don't give up on your cow. My hubby sais he done that once for over a month before his cow was strong enough to stand on her own. Finally she did.
God Bless,
Shanda
Beautiful sign Lea! That will look simply dee-vine in your garden!
What a gorgeous rose, You go girl. The sign is perfect for your lady in the shed. How is the cow, hoping it is doing well. Hugs, RoseMarie
